How are you all doing?
It’s been a strange time in lockdown hasn’t it? We’re keen to get out into the ‘real’ world rather than using ZOOM for all our meetings! (ZOOM has been a life saver but there’s only so much screen time we can cope with!) Although, every cloud has a silver lining and we’ve used our time to produce this snazzy new website, and to get some dedicated social media for the collection.
We’re also producing some exciting virtual dynamic training…(ooooooo I hear you say!) Yes, since our usual yearly hands on Creative Reminiscence Training isn’t happening we are going to do in online. You’ll be the first to know when it’s released so you’ll get first dibs on booking! Promise!!
We have also been splashing the cash and updating some of the resources in our collections so there is something new and exciting for you when we start lending them out again in September!
The latest editions are some LOVELY sensory things from Relish Life. Also, our two training suitcases have been updated with more goodies to explore and play with to get your creative juices flowing when we’re able to meet with you all in person!
Over this lockdown time our thoughts and prayers have particularly been with care homes that have residents on a dementia journey. Short staffing and illness has had a mega impact on the quality of lives of people. So we are even more ready to support these people and get communities trained up as soon as possible to do this!
So, in our next blog I will update you on our Story Cafes and also give you more exciting information about the upcoming training.
